The research team of the National Social Science Foundation Significant Arts Research Project: Research on the Policy and Strategy of International Communication of Chinese Culture and Arts hosted the "International Symposium on Chinese Traditional Arts from the Western Perspective" from May 28 to 30, 2015. World famous experts and scholars from art universities were invited to engage in the in-depth discussion on the global sharing of Chinese traditional arts. At the seminar, the research team reported the current achievement of the project to the officials of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Culture. The symposium and the latest research results of the project attracted the medium’ attention. Experts and scholars were interviewed by reporters from Xinhua News Agency and Guangming Daily. Guangming Daily published a feature article about the project's principle investigator professor Lin Yi’s lasted view on intercultural communication of Chinese traditional arts.
