Introduction
National Center for Research into Intercultural Communication of Arts (NCRICA) at Peking University is co-established by the Peking University and the Ministry of Culture. The establishment of the NCRICA is to develop the academic advantages of Peking University, and to reinforce the frontier research on the international communication of culture and arts.
Basic Functions of NCRICA
1. The Think Tank of the advanced research on intercultural communication of arts to promote culture and arts exchange among the world. NCRICA collaborates with numerous internationally recognized experts around the world to develop full range of researches on culture and arts. The center at the same time devotes to build up the talent team of new generation to maintain the sustainability in research and development.
2. The Talent Incubator for the professionals in the Planning and Management of intercultural communication of arts. NCRICA provides various advanced training programs to management professionals and art practitioners who work at culture or art industry to broaden international perspective and to enhance career prospect.
3. The Academic Library to record and study theories and practices of the intercultural communication of arts. NCRICA works with experts, diplomats and scholars in culture and art fields, to build up a database that records, collects and analyzes the history archives, academic books, and major events in intercultural communication of arts. Both studies on theories and practices are equally advocated in the researches carried out through the NCRICA.
4. The Evaluation Authority to assess the implementation results for the significant development strategies and major projects of the intercultural communication of arts. NCRICA develops the unified evaluation criteria, and organizes experts to practice assessment activities in order to promote the healthy development of culture and art industries.
